The following leasing tricks, scams and lies have been widely used by dishonest car salesmen to cheat their customers. Should you experience any of these, assume that you are you are dealing with an unethical salesman, then find a more honest dealership for your business. If you think their practices were really dishonest, file a complaint with the consumer protection divisions of your state attorney general and local district attorney.
On the other hand, if you spend a lot of time discussing leases with a particular dealer and they don’t use any of these tricks, they’re probably honest. The honest ones deserve your business, not the other guys. And tell your friends too.
